MOSCOW, April 4 (RAPSI) – Ex-lawyer and former TV host Vladimir Reznik (Oreshnikov) has been sentenced to 7 years in high-security prison for fraud, the press service of the Nagatinsky District Court of Moscow has told RAPSI.

According to the court’s representative, the court took into account repetition of crime while delivering the sentence. The defendant, who changed the name of Oreshnikov to Reznik, has been earlier sentenced to 2 years in prison for fraud as well. During investigation into the first case it was revealed that the status of lawyer he received with a forged diploma.

Investigators claim that the TV host offered his assistance as a lawyer to a businessman involved in a criminal case. He promised to change a restrictive measure and get release on parole for him. Reznik received 4.6 million rubles (80,000) from the man and disappeared.

In 2012, Reznik was convicted of a similar crime. He asked 20 million rubles (about $350,000) from a businessman and was arrested when received 500,000 rubles (about $9,000).
