MOSCOW, October 31 (RAPSI) – The former head of Russia's South Cross Travel company Dmitry Fesik has filed an appeal against a ruling of the Moscow Commercial Court recovering 1.7 billion rubles ($26.6 million) in debt from him, the court documents read.

The appeal has been filed with the Ninth Commercial Court of Appeals.

The Moscow court has found that Fesik had not provide a temporary manager of the company with accounting information.

Earlier, the court extended bankruptcy proceedings against the tourist company until December 5.

In June 2015, the South Cross Travel was declared bankrupt with creditors demanding 607.3 million rubles ($9.2 million). The company announced cancellation of its business activity in September 2014.
