MOSCOW, February 20 (RAPSI) – Investigators are going to file a motion to detain Sergey Gribinyuchenko, ex-head of the Moscow Region’s Pushkino District, as part of a corruption case, the Investigative Committee’s press service reports Wednesday.

Gribinyuchenko is suspected of receiving a grand bribe.

According to investigators, on February 18, the official received $20,000 as a bribe from a person acting under the police control in one of the Moscow Region’s mall. The illegal gratification was geared up for the protection of one of firms during execution of municipal contracts signed with the Pushkino Distrist’s administration.

Gribinyuchenko was arrested after taking the bribe.

Currently, Gribinyuchenko is acting mayor of Dzerzhinsky town in the Moscow Region.
