MOSCOW, July 1 (RAPSI) – Three officials are suspected of stealing more than 240 million rubles (about $4 million) allocated for construction of preschool education facilities in the Russian Republic of Dagestan, the Federal Security Service’s (FSB) press service reports Monday.

They were arrested and put in detention, according to the statement.

Investigators believe that since 2016 the suspects have illegally signed contracts on construction, reconstruction and purchase of preschool education facilities at overvalued prices with companies affiliated with them. Their actions have caused damage estimated at more than 240 million rubles, according to the FSB.
