MOSCOW, July 26 (RAPSI) – The head bailiff of Russia’s Perm Region Igor Kozhevnikov has been put in detention as part of a 1-million-ruble ($16,000) bribery case, the Investigative Committee’s press service reports.

Earlier, the senior bailiff of an inter-district department Alexandra Mardanova was arrested and detained in another case.

Currently, the two cases are consolidated, the statement reads.

Kozhevnikov stands accused of receiving a bribe by an official, a group of people in conspiracy, on a large scale. Mardanova is still a suspect in the cases.

According to investigators, the bailiffs received bribes in the amount of 550,000 and 600,000 rubles for illegal actions in support of a bribegiver.
