MOSCOW, September 2 (RAPSI) – The Supreme Court of the Chechen Republic has sentenced a member of a gang once led by notorious Chechen warlord Shamil Basayev to 25 years in prison in a case over the murder of two Russian servicemen in the territory of the region in year 2000, the press-service of the Prosecutor General’s Office informs on Monday.

Local resident Khasan Ozliyev was found guilty of armed rebellion and attempt on the life of servicepersons, he will serve his time in a maximum security penal colony.
