MOSCOW, June 3 (RAPSI) – The Moscow City Court on Wednesday upheld imposition of fines for violation of self-isolation order and high-alert mode in the city over the coronavirus spread, the court’s press service told RAPSI.

The court thus dismissed a lawsuit against the Moscow City Duma and Moscow Mayor seeking to invalidate certain provisions of the city’s Code on Administrative Offenses fixing fines of up to 5,000 rubles ($73) for individuals and 500,000 rubles ($7,300) for businesses violating the high-alert mode.

In May, the court upheld an order to introduce digital passes and rules of their registration in Moscow.
