MOSCOW, October 28 (RAPSI) – Two Russians have been charged in absentia in a case over attack against Russia’s embassy in Kiev in March 2016, the Investigative Committee’s press service reports.

Investigators received evidence of involvement of Mikhail Agafonov and Irina Belacheu in the anti-Russian action. From March 5 to 10, 2016, a group of rebellious people intentionally and in conspiracy committed several attacks against the Russian Federation embassy to aggravate international relations between Russia and Ukraine.

They have been charged with assault on the institution under international protection. 

Earlier, several other defendants were identified and brought to criminal liability, including 7 citizens of Ukraine. They are on a wanted list.
