Russian senators back prosecution of ex-head of Russian Ministry of Construction
MOSCOW, November 18 (RAPSI) – The Federation Council members have granted permission to Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov for the arrest of ex-head of the Ministry of Construction and current auditor of the Auditing Chamber of Russia Mikhail Men on embezzlement allegations.
The official is believed to be involved in embezzlement of 700 million rubles from the Ivanovo Region’s budget. Men headed the region from December 2005 to October 2013.
Mikhail Men faces arrest and a restraining order, according to Speaker of the upper house of parliament Valentina Matviyenko.
