ST. PETERSBURG, February 10 (RAPSI, Mikhail Telekhov) – The Moskovsky District Court of St. Petersburg has detained a citizen of Uzbekistan Rafikzhon Akhmedov charged with terrorism funding until April 7, RAPSI has been told in the United press service of St. Petersburg courts.

Akhmedov has pled guilty, according to the statement.

The case papers read that in December 2020 Akhmedov, an adherer of radical brands of Islam, transferred 18,000 rubles ($240) two times to the QIWI account of a member of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham terrorist organization banned in Russia.
