MOSCOW, March 17 (RAPSI) – Prosecutors must be more aggressive in the fight against extremism, nationalism, corruption and election fraud, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday during the extended meeting of the panel of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

The society waits for more law enforcement activity in combating extremism. All prosecutors must promptly respond to manifestations of nationalism and hostile and destabilizing moves. Moreover, it is necessary to draw more attention at corruption crimes, especially in such spheres as distribution and filling of civil and defense orders, rendering of government services, use of municipal and state property.

The President also reminded about upcoming parliamentary voting in 2021 and instructed prosecutors to observe lawfulness during preparation and holding of the election.
