MOSCOW, May 12 (RAPSI) – Ilnaz Galyaviyev, who is suspected of fatal shooting in a Kazan school building and mass murder, will undergo mental examination, the Investigative Committee’s press service reports.

According to the statement, in total, over 30 forensic evaluations are to be conducted as part of the case, including physic and chemical, ballistic, genetic, medical and explosive. The pshycological and psychiatric examination will assess the suspect's mental state.

Investigators note that current behaviour of the 19-year-old man is inappropriate that bars from carrying out of full investigative activities.

Investigators earlier asked court to place Galyaviyev in detention.

According to investigators, on May 11, the armed young man broke into an education institution and started shooting. Nine people including minors were killed and over 20 persons were injured as a result of the assault. The attacker, who was arrested on the scene and identified, acted alone, the statement read.

A criminal case was opened over murder of two and more people.
