MOSCOW, September 26 - RAPSI. A State Duma commission will hear on September 27 materials on the alleged business activities of ruling United Russia and Liberal Democratic Party members in the Duma, the commission told RIA Novosti on Wednesday.

According to legislation, lawmakers are not permitted to be involved in business activity.

Members of the commission are determined to discuss materials concerning state deputies Vasily Tolstopyatov, Ayrat Hayrullin, Grigory Anikeyev, Alexey Knyshov, Ilya Kostunov, and Yelena Nikolayeva from United Russia, as well as Liberal Democratic Party member Vladimir Semyonov. The meeting will also address inspections as to the credibility and the completeness of the income data provided by deputies Vladimir Pekhtin and Andrei Skoch for 2011.

Earlier, A Just Russia leader Sergei Mironov filed an inquiry with State Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin to look into whether a number of United Russia deputies have remained involved in business activities.
Head of the United Russia faction Andrey Vorobyov said the inquiry is meritless, and there is no evidence that legislation has been violated.
He added that the State Duma does not hold special campaigns to strip certain state lawmakers of their political power, and the law applies to everyone equally.

Last week, the commission considered the case of Ivan Demchenko, Vladislav Reznik, Oleg Lebedev, Adam Delimkhanov, and Skoch whom the oppositionist Yabloko party accused of involvement in business activity. State Duma vice speakers Sergei Zheleznyak and Igor Lebedev submitted an inquiry to the Prosecutor General's Office and the State Duma speaker to inspect Anatoli Lokot's actions. Lokot refuted accusations of being involved in business activity, and did not rule out the possibility that he might file a defamation lawsuit.

Earlier, the State Duma stripped A Just Russia party member Gennady Gudkov of his political power after the investigative authorities accused him of engaging in business activity.
