MOSCOW, April 3 - RAPSI, Artyom Kuznetsov. The Russian Football Union believes that the duration of bans on attending games, which are to be included in the law on sports fans, should be increased to up to four years, said Denis Rogachyov, deputy CEO of the union for legal issues.

The government sent a bill stipulating administrative bans on attending games ranging from one month to one year to the State Duma on November 23, 2012. It proposes to fine violators of the ban 3,000 to 5,000 rubles ($96-$161), or to arrest them for a maximum of 15 days.

Rogachyov also called for dividing the article on the violation of rules by spectators up into separate clauses to stipulate differentiated punishment for the most typical offences, such as bringing in fireworks and setting them off, trying to run out onto the field, and throwing items onto the field or elsewhere.

The RFU deputy CEO also believes that repeat offenders should be fined from 5,000 to 20,000 rubles ($161-$643).
