MOSCOW, January 9 (RAPSI) – A Just Russia party lawmaker Oleg Mikheev submitted a bill on Thursday proposing the prohibition of hidden commissions during currency exchange operations.

In accordance the proposed amendments, the credit enterprise would be obligated to provide clients with full and comprehensive information about the current exchange rates, commissions, and all expenses involved in the exchange procedure before the operation.

The bill further states that the information must be relayed to the client directly. The use of other methods such as electronic tables, and printed announcements informing the client of the current rates and expenses must be used only as an additional measure.

In November, 2013, Mikheev proposed another set of amendments that would effectively ban fine and unintelligible print in financial and banking contracts.
