MOSCOW, December 4 (RAPSI) – Russia’s government has submitted to the State Duma a bill aimed at improvement of registration procedure for media, RIA Novosti reported Friday.

The amendments would be made to the law “On Mass Media”.

The bill introduces such term as “registration authority“.

The bill also extends range of persons who cannot act as founding members of media outlets. The list include people convicted of crimes against foundations of the constitutional system and security or especially grave crimes connected with violation of Russia’s legislation of mass media and control of extremism.
