MOSCOW, October 5 (RAPSI) – President Vladimir Putin said that greater legislative protection of businesses from pressure by unfortunately still existing unscrupulous employees of law enforcement agencies should be on the agenda addressing the State Duma, the lower house of Russia’s Parliament, on Wednesday.

According to the President, bills on support of entrepreneurship and private initiative will be submitted to the State Duma. “In order to set the economy on a growth trajectory, we need to remove legislative obstacles that curb the competitiveness, investment flows and the introduction of cutting edge technologies, and to provide a balanced development of Russian regions, the northern and Far Eastern areas,” Putin said.

He also noted that priority projects are being launched “in order to concentrate our efforts and resources on solving the most pressing tasks in the economy and social sphere.”

The Russian President asked the Duma lawmakers to "promptly provide these projects with a legislative framework, and to make sure that they are financed in full while working with the federal budget."
