MOSCOW, October 19 (RAPSI) – The State Duma has passed in the first reading a bill on storage of donated blood, RIA Novosti reported on Wednesday.

The bill would amend the Federal Law on Donated Blood and Components Thereof.

The draft law authorizes Russia’s government to lay down rules of supply, banking, transportation and clinical use of donated blood.

This initiative is aimed to bring Russian legislation in line with the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union, an explanatory note to the bill reads.
