MOSCOW, December 9 (RAPSI) – The State Duma has passed a bill that allows commercial courts to refuse admittance of lawsuits.

The bill has been proposed by the Supreme Court.

The procedures allowing courts to dismiss lawsuits without reviewing them are specified in The Civil Procedure Code and The Administrative Court Procedure Code, but not in The Arbitration Procedure Code. The authors of the bill believe that due to the lack of specific procedure commercial courts have to review claims not eligible to be heard by tribunals and dismiss them only after examination.

The changes envisaged by the bill are aimed to optimize judicial procedure and reduce the burden on commercial courts.
