MOSCOW, October 5 (RAPSI) – Communist lawmaker Oleg Smolin has submitted a bill to the State Duma specifying the concept of wounding religious feelings.

The document has been published on the lower house’s database.

Under the bill, actions aimed to wound somebody’s religious feelings may be committed during religious meetings and ceremonies in special places. Only in these cases, disrespect for other people’s feelings may be considered as obstruction of freedom of conscience and religion, and recognized as violation of person’s constitutional rights and freedoms.

Amendments are proposed to the Criminal Code of Russia.
