MOSCOW, March 21 (RAPSI) – The State Duma has passed in the first reading a bill prohibiting foreign citizens or people without citizenship, who had their assets frozen by Russian authorities, to enter Russia, the official database of the lower house of parliament reads.

According to the bill, restriction of a person’s rights may be done only if there are grounds for this decision and only if it upholds a balance of interests between a person, other people, society and the state.

As such the bill restricts entry to Russia for people, who had their assets or property frozen as part of the enforcement of laws against money laundering and prohibition of terrorism, the explanatory note to the bill reads.
