MOSCOW, July 12 (RAPSI) – The State Duma has adopted in the third and final reading a bill regulating activity of foreign NGO’s branches.

The bill establishes conditions for refusing to include information on these branches into an official registry for NGOs. In particular, one of the reasons for such a refusal is a clash between goals of an NGO branch and Russian legislation, including the Constitution.

Moreover, the bill reduced duration of a term for head of a branch to provide the Ministry of Justice with address and contact information on said branch from 20 to 7 days.

Finally, the draft law provides requirements on the branches’ charter. The document lists such information as tasks, goals, activity, management structure and sources of financing of the branch.
