MOSCOW, July 17 (RAPSI) – The State Duma passed in the third and final reading on Tuesday a bill authorizing court bailiffs to conduct administrative investigation into debt recovery firms.

Amendments are proposed to the Russian Code of Administrative Offences.

The bill would expand the list of administrative offences, which could be investigated by bailiffs.

Currently, collectors may face administrative penalties for violating requirements of the law on protection of rights and interests of individuals during carrying out of activities on recovery of past due debts. However, administrative investigation including examinations and other procedures could not be conducted into them.
