MOSCOW, November 9 (RAPSI) – Russian government has endorsed a bill extending court bailiffs’ authority, according to a statement released on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Under the bill, bailiffs would be entitled to conduct interstate search of wanted persons and cooperate with their foreign colleagues.

The chief bailiff of Russia would be granted a power to organize cooperation in the search of wanted people with foreign competent bodies. Principal bailiffs of Russian regions would be authorized to organize and supervise activities of the Federal Bailiff Service’s officers relating to such a search, the statement reads.

The document is aimed to secure execution of international interstate search treaties.
