MOSCOW, April 9 (RAPSI) – Russia’s State Duma adopted a bill on introduction of quotas for crab catching in the third and final reading on Wednesday.

Investment crab quotas will be allocated based on the results of auctions, an explanatory note to the draft law reads.

Under the bill, 50% of the total allowable crab catch will be provided for this type of quotas. The quota parts will be assigned to their users for 15 years.

Auction winners will be obliged to implement projects on the construction of objects determined by the Russian government.
