MOSCOW, January 24 (RAPSI) – President of Russia’s Federal Chamber of Lawyers Yury Pilipenko has joined the Government Law-Making Commission, the lawyer community’s press service has reported.

Pilipenko considers the lawyer community president’s membership in the Commission as a new possibility to affect a legislative process as much as possible. Surely, this is a positive step forwards the bar, he has commented on his appointment.

The Government Law-Making Commission includes representatives of Russia’s President, Cabinet of Ministers, federal executive bodies, Supreme Court, state corporations, Central Bank and public organizations. Based on the Commission’s decisions, if it is necessary draft orders of the government are prepared. Decisions made by the Commission on issues under its jurisdiction are obligatory for all federal executive authorities.
