MOSCOW, March 10 (RAPSI) – Russian President Vladimir Putin sees no reason to hold early State Duma election if lower house lawmakers cannot reach a consensus in this matter. The Head of State said so Tuesday addressing to the lower house of parliament.

Earlier, a lawmaker representing the United Russia political party Alexander Karelin proposed to hold early State Duma election. Later, he laid the initiative on the table.

On Tuesday, the State Duma passed a bill on amendments to the Constitution in the second reading. The final third reading is scheduled for March 11.
