MOSCOW, August 24 - RAPSI. A Moscow district court has sanctioned the arrest of athlete Rasul Mirzayev, who is suspected of killing a 19-year-old student with one punch, the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI) reports from the courtroom.

With the decision, the court satisfied investigators petition for Mirzayevs arrest.

Earlier, a law enforcement source told RAPSI that, on August 13, athlete Mirzayev punched 19-year-old Ivan Agafonov, near a nightclub in downtown Moscow. Agafonov was taken to a hospital, where he never regained consciousness, and died several days later.

Police detained Mirzayev on August 19 after interrogating him for the crime. Mirzayev repented in the interrogation, his attorney said.
On Monday, the court decided to release the suspect on 5 million ruble ($172,000) bail.

However, on Tuesday, the Moscow City Court overturned the bail ruling, and remanded the issue for another hearing.
