Firm head detained for embezzlement from children's cancer center
MOSCOW, September 29 - RAPSI. Moscow police officers detained a commercial firm's chief suspected of embezzling $925,800 in public funds, Interior Ministry reported on Thursday.
The funds were allocated to construct a facility for the children's oncology and haematology research institute of the Blokhin Russian Oncological Scientific Center.
It was established that the suspect had several accomplices.
Investigators initiated a criminal case for fraud which is punishable by up to ten years in prison.
