MOSCOW, October 11 - RAPSI. The system of assigning qualification categories and labor compensation rates to judges will improve, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has said during a government presidium meeting.

"The courts are overcrowded, the workload of judges is enormous, and this affects their performance. Their work will be remunerated accordingly," he said.

Medvedev said a draft law is being discussed at the meeting to establish a system of assigning qualification and labor compensation categories to judges.

"Hopefully, this will increase their earnings and add to their motivation to work better," he said.
