MOSCOW, February 12 - RAPSI. The Federal Bailiff Service plans to clear about 400,000 questionable firms from the state tax register.

He said the companies in question are a major headache for bailiffs. It takes the service a lot of time and effort just to identify these legal entities, along with the tax authorities, and remove them from the register, he added.

The first step is that the FBS reports signs of a non-performing business. The tax authority then removes the firm in question from the register based on the report.
In 2011-2012, bailiffs filed more than 500,000 such reports, Parfyonchikov said.

"This year we estimate that the service will have to process about 400,000 enforcement cases of this sort, most of them in Moscow," Russia's chief bailiff added.
