MOSCOW, June 30 (RAPSI) – President Vladimir Putin has signed an executive order “On Presidential Council of the Russian Federation for strategic development and priority projects”, the presidential press-office’s statement reads.
The Council has been established for improvement of Russia’s strategic development and implementation of priority projects. The executive order fixes regulations for the Council, composition of the Council and its Presidium, according to the statement.
The order abolishes the Council on realization of priority national projects and population policy as well as the Council on housing policy and housing access.
According to Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, the Council “consists of legislative branches’ leaders including heads of Parliament’s Houses, chiefs of Administration; Government members including vice ministers, presidential envoys; figures from business; experts.” The Council’s Presidium will be headed by Russia’s Prime Minister.
The first meeting of the Council for strategic development and priority projects is expected to be held in July.
