MOSCOW, July 19 (RAPSI) – Due to mass popularity of the “Pokemon Go” game and a tendency of some people to play it everywhere, Lenenergo power company announced that players should be as cautious and attentive as possible near energy facilities.

Pokemon Go, a videogame with elements of augmented reality for mobile devices became incredibly popular all over the world.

"The Lenenergo company warns all fans of the geolocation games about the danger of playing in close proximity to power grid facilities. Any disregard of basic electrical safety rules, including entry in electrical power substations, entail the risk of death," the company announced in a statement.

Statistics show that in warm months of the year, there is a surge in gross violations of electrical safety rules. Unfortunately, one in three of these cases is fatal, the company noted.
