MOSCOW, March 31 (RAPSI) – The Federal Antimonopoly Service’s (FAS) Directorate for Moscow has found the Moscow City Telephone Network (MGTS) guilty of advertising its Internet access services by phone without subscribers’ agreement, the Service’s announcement reads on Friday.

FAS found that MGTS had violated Russian advertisement legislation after receiving complaint from a citizen. Phone line advertisement, both stationary and mobile, must be distributed only with subscribers’ precursory agreement. A citizen complained that he did not agree to reception of advertisement.

The Service ruled that MGTS is to remove a violation and to stop distribution of advertising in question.
