MOSCOW, August 31 (RAPSI, Yelizaveta Ponomareva) – The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has arrested two men from Central Asia suspected of plotting attacks in places to be crowded on September 1, the first school day in Russia, the FSB press service informs on Thursday.

According to FSB, one of the suspects was planning an attack using an ax. He has published a video statement on the Internet pledging loyalty to the ISIS, a terrorist organization banned in Russia and internationally. FSB says contacts of ISIS recruiters and instructions related to the planned crimes were found when studying his telephone.

Another suspect admitted to preparing to carry out a suicide bombing after a homemade explosive device was found at his place of residence. 

FSB now is to decide on opening a criminal case against the men on charges of planning terrorist attacks, participation in a terrorist organization, illegal trafficking in firearms, explosives, and explosive devices, the statement reads.
