MOSCOW, October 26 (RAPSI) – Russian President Vladimir Putin during the Security Council’s meeting on Thursday announced measures of the state information infrastructure’s protection, the presidential press service reports.

According to the President, it is necessary to “realize development trends of global information sphere and forecast potential dangers and risks.” Moreover, further moves are to be drawn up to respond to threats extensively, Putin said.

Primarily, the state system of detection, prevention and relief of the consequences of hacks on Russia’s information resources must be strengthened. It is referred in particular to mechanisms of its official segment interworking, the President stated.

Secondly, the level of protection of government bodies’ information systems and communications networks is to be increased. There is a need of enhancing personal management responsibility for information security, Putin stressed.

The President also believes that risks connected with the use of foreign programs and communication devices must be minimized by sequential implementation of import substitution projects.

Moreover, it is necessary to improve security and stability of the Russian Internet infrastructure, among others, in terms of legislation, according to Putin.
