MOSCOW, November 8 (RAPSI) - Russia's children's rights commissioner Anna Kuznetsova has approved an initiative on creation of federal Council of Fathers, the ombudsman’s press-service told RAPSI.

Similar organizations have been already established in many Russian regions. On Wednesday, it was announced that the Council would be created in the Tula Region as well, involving representatives of law enforcement agencies, legislative bodies, public organizations and multiple children fathers.

According to the press-service, the Council’s goal is to unite active men, who should tackle socially relevant problems such as improvement of family values, improvement of fatherhood’s role in family and society. The organization is tasked with boosting prestige of fatherhood, forming youth’s responsible attitude to family and children.
