MOSCOW, May 23 (RAPSI) – The Basmanny District Court of Moscow has ruled to detain Sergey Rostenko, a former mayor of the Crimean city of Yalta charged with abuse of office, the court’s spokesperson Yunona Tsareva has told RAPSI.

The former official is to stay in detention until July 21.

According to media, the criminal case is related to allocation of land plots. Rostenko took the office in 2014 and held the position for several years. In 2017, head of Crimean Republic Sergey Aksyonov asked Ryabkov to handle his notice of resignation.
