MOSCOW, June 6 (RAPSI) – Former head of the stock exchange operations directorate for the financial markets department of one of commercial banks Andrey Kornilov has been charged with manipulation of securities market, the Investigative Committee’s official website reads.

According to investigators, in 2014, Kornilov acting as the bank’s authorized agent for purchase and sales of securities had digital access to the credit organization’s trade account. Allegedly, he, alongside unidentified accomplices, made a series of purchases that were soon followed by series of sales.

The Investigative Committee believes that Kornilov and unidentified persons obtained 12 million rubles ($193,000) in profit from these actions.
