MOSCOW, March 25 (RAPSI) – Russia’s Federal Ombudsman Tatiana Moskalkova received 44,087 complaints in 2020.

According to her press service, 4.3% (1,910) of all applications are collective.

In 2020, the number of complaints filed with Moskalkova increased by 15% as compared to 2019..  The number of blanket complaints upped by 13.5%. 

The rise is related to the coronavirus outbreak and adaptation of new formats of the acceptance of applications. Complaints were accepted through mail, e-mail, telephone, social media and during personal appointments, the statement reads.

The number of applications received by Russia’s High Commissioner for Human Rights in 2020 hit record high in 5 years, according to Moskalkova’s press service.
