MOSCOW, April 13 - RAPSI. The Moscow District Federal Commercial Court has delayed its hearing of the cassation appeal against the ruling prohibiting Holmrook Limited from using Rado Uhren AG's trademark in its domain name. The hearing was postponed until May 12.

The Moscow Commercial Court held in favor of the well-known Swiss watchmaker and awarded it 50,000 rubles ($1,620) in damages on September 9.

An appeals court upheld the judgment.

The plaintiff is the "RADO" trademark holder. The name was registered in conformity with the Madrid treaty on trademarks international registration and enjoys international protection.

While planning to register a website on the Russian Internet, the plaintiff learned that the "rado.ru" domain name was occupied.

In October 2009, the Russian Network Information Center told Rado Uhren that the domain was administered by Holmrook Limited.

The watchmaker then went to court.
