MOSCOW, April 18 - RAPSI. The Moscow Commercial Court will hear on October 25 the Kalina cosmetic company's lawsuit against the Novartis Consumer Health pharmaceutical company.

Kalina seeks to terminate the legal protection of the Venoton trademark owned by Novartis.

The applicant maintains that Novartis Consumer Health has not used its Venoton, Venotonе, Venuton and Venutone trademarks for the last three years in Russia. In this regard, Kalina has asked the court to terminate the legal protection of the trademarks.

Novartis' representative did not attend the hearing on Wednesday.

The court has involved the patent watchdog to act as a third party in the case and set the hearing date.

Kalina is a cosmetic company located in Yekaterinburg.

Novartis Consumer Health is engaged in development and production of OTC medicines. It is located in Switzerland and is part of the transnational Novartis International AG pharmaceutical corporation. The company operates in 140 countries and ranks 72 on the Forbes Global 2000 list.
