MOSCOW, July 13 - RAPSI. The case proceedings regarding the Pussy Riot group members accused of hooliganism at the Christ the Savior Cathedral will start on July 20, the court's press service told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com)

"Judge Marina Syrova will be considering the case and the preliminary hearings will be held on July 20," the court said.

The press secretary said that, in accordance with the law, the preliminary hearings are held solely by the judge behind closed doors.

She added that, following the preliminary hearings, the court will set the date for considering the case on its merits.

On February 21, five masked members of the Pussy Riot punk group performed a protest song titled "Holy Sh*t" at the altar of the Christ the Savior Cathedral in Moscow.

A video of their performance was posted on the Internet and incited a major public uproar. Tolokonnikova, Alekhina and Samutsevich were arrested. They face up to seven years in prison on hooliganism charges.
