MOSCOW, October 8 - RAPSI. The Ninth Commercial Court of Appeals will hear on October 31 the ZiL Automobile Plant's appeal of the dismissal of its claim to recover $36.8 million from the Moscow Automobile Company, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com) Monday.

In July, the Moscow Commercial Court rejected the plant's complaint stemming from the allegation that its management agreement with the company was unlawfully extended from October 2008 to April 2011. The amount sought was the fee paid to the company over that period.

Earlier, the court received materials in the case showing that the "managing company's services were overpriced."

ZiL's representative said at the hearing that the agreement should be declared null and void, as it had not been approved at a shareholders meeting. In turn, the defendant said the agreement "has nothing to do" with the meeting.

ZiL is Russia's first automobile plant. It was established in 1916. Its total area is 280 hectares. ZiL mostly produces six-ton gasoline and diesel trucks. The plant also provides special vehicles for the Emergencies Ministry.
