MOSCOW, March 21 - RAPSI. A group of MPs, including head of A Just Russia party Sergei Mironov, have submitted a draft law to the State Duma on employment quotas for university graduates and penalties for failing to comply with this provision, the press service of A Just Russia said on Wednesday.

If the bill is passed, it will amend the legislation on employment and education and the Code of Administrative Offences.

Current legislation only stipulates employment assistance for graduates of vocational schools aged 18 to 20 who are looking for their first job. The authors of the bill believe that this significantly limits the number of graduates eligible for this support.

The bill says that employers from all types of incorporations and ownership must have a quota for graduates, to be determined in accordance with the legislation of their region. The fines for failing to comply with this provision range from 2,000 to 3,000 rubles ($65-$97).

The authors of the bill state that its implementation will not require additional funds from the federal budget.
