MOSCOW, May 17 (RAPSI) - The Moscow Region children’s rights ombudsman Ksenia Mishonova has favored adoption of a bill prohibiting sales of e-cigarettes (vapes) to minors throughout the region, the ombudsman’s press office has told RAPSI.

This bill is important and needful, Mishonova said. Vaping constitutes a serious threat to the young generation’s health, she added.

The Moscow Region Duma adopted the bill in the second and third readings on Thursday. The initiative is aimed to maintain public order, protect rights and interests of Moscow Region residents and prevent infliction of harm to children’s health and development.
