MOSCOW, November 14 (RAPSI) – The number of applications filed by orphans with the Russian children’s ombudsman Anna Kuznetsova has increased by 10%.

Currently, there are about 70 complaints, she said on Thursday during a news conference concerning improvement of orphanages and post orphanage support.

According to the ombudsman, a comprehensive set of measures is to be drafted to improve the situation in this field; and firstly, the pastoral work should be reorganized in charitable homes.

Earlier, the ombudsman’s office proposed a system according to which all orphanages will be supervised by one authorized body.
