The Moscow District Federal Commercial Court was established on Sept. 15, 1995.

As a cassation body, the court examines the legitimacy of judicial acts passed by Moscow and Moscow regional commercial courts, as well as the ninth and tenth commercial courts of appeals.

As the first instance body, the court considers appeals on recovering compensation due to violations of legal proceedings in reasonable terms and violations of judicial acts in reasonable terms in cases handled by Moscow district commercial courts.

The court comprises 48 judges, including court chiefs.

The court includes a board handling disputes arising from administrative relations, and a board handling disputes arising from civil and other relations.

Under Article 27 of the Federal Constitutional Law “On Commercial Courts of the Russian Federation,” the Moscow District Federal Commercial Court Presidium was established to develop a unified law enforcement practice and measures to improve the arrangement of court activities.
