The Moscow Commercial Court has terminated proceedings in the suit filed by Mezhprombank against Moscow's Hediard store, which is owned by former Federation Council member Sergei Pugachev, after the bank withdrew its claim, the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI) reports from the courtroom.
The bank withdrew its claim after the defendant repaid the debt it owed under a loan agreement, Mezhprombanks representative reported, without specifying the amount paid.
Mezhprombank filed a claim for 615.40 rubles ($22) against Hediard on April 28, but later increased the amount of its claim.
The French network of Hediard delicacies boutiques operates in a number of countries, including: South Korea, Japan, Italy, Spain, Germany, Portugal, Greece, the US, and China. The Moscow Hediard store opened in 2005. Hediard stores sell delicacies from around the world, including those produced at Hediard factories.
