Moscow, April 15 – RAPSI. The British energy giant BP addressed the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce’s (SCC) on Friday, requesting to recommence the proceedings in the claims of the AAR consortium, its partner in the Russian TNK-BP joint venture, over BP’s deal with the major Russian oil giant Rosneft, the latter’s chief Eduard Khudainatov said.
“The trial is nearly proceeding on the web,” he said. “BP CEO Bob Dudley has just told me that they have addressed the SCC asking to resume proceedings today after we agreed on a prolongation of the assets swap agreement.”
Rosneft and BP agreed on Thursday to prolong the agreement, which expired April 14, until May 16, with a temporary prohibition on the deal still in effect.
